What We Learned Packing 451 Corporate Gift Baskets in One Order

The short answer: last December one company sent 451 of our gift baskets to its holiday list in a single order. 63% of the list got the same basket, a Medium Round. 31% got a bigger Extra Large. 87% of the baskets were shipped out of town, and the rest were hand-delivered in South Florida or picked up. For a bulk order of your own, start with that pattern: one standard basket and one step up, from $89 to $299 each at today's prices. We are sharing the order without the company's name. The basket and delivery numbers come from that order's invoice and packing sheet, dated December 2025. The timing numbers come from all of our corporate holiday orders last season.
How many of each basket did a 451-basket order use?

What we learned: a standard gift plus one step up covered 93% of the list (420 of 451). Two choices keep a big order easy to build, easy to check and easy to pack.
Which basket should each address get?
Pick by how many people will share the basket at that address. This is the same rule the 451-basket order followed: Medium Rounds for small offices, Extra Larges for the big ones.

How did 451 corporate baskets get delivered?
Most of the list was out of town, so most of the order shipped.

What we learned: on a national list, shipping sets your schedule. For a shipped gift, the date you choose at checkout is the day it leaves us, and ground shipping takes 3 to 5 business days. Cold packs go in whenever the weather calls for it.
When do corporate holiday orders come in?
Across all of our corporate holiday orders last season, more than 60 of them, buyers started sending lists the week of November 17, and most deliveries landed between December 8 and December 18.
What we learned: mid-December was the busiest stretch of our corporate season. A list that is final in November is ready before that rush starts.
What should a bulk gift basket list include?
When a list came in messy last season, we had to send it back to the buyer to fix. A complete list has one row per recipient with these columns:

What would we tell a first-time bulk buyer?
- Pick two baskets, not ten. A standard gift and a step-up gift covered 93% of this order.
- Size by office, not by title. A Medium Round serves 6 to 8. An Extra Large serves 16 to 20.
- Get your list final in November. Lists started arriving the week of November 17 last season.
