SMS Delivery Notifications — How Customers Opt In
SMS Delivery Notifications — How Customers Opt In
This page documents how The Sweet Tooth (legal entity DME SWEETS LLC, North Miami Beach, FL) collects consent for its order-related SMS program, for carrier compliance review.
What the program sends
One transactional delivery-confirmation text per order (delivery time and a photo of where the package was left) when a local gift delivery is completed. No recurring messages, no marketing. Message frequency varies by order. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help, or contact orders@thesweettooth.com / (305) 682-1400.
Verify the consent step yourself (no login required)
Reviewers can view the live checkout consent experience directly using this public link, which adds a sample product to a cart and opens our standard guest checkout: https://thesweettooth.com/cart/48369300406527:1. On the checkout page you will see the "Where should we deliver your order?" section with the Phone field where delivery-notification numbers are collected, and directly beneath it the separate "Text me with news and offers" marketing checkbox, unchecked by default (not used by this program). No account or authentication is required to view this flow.
Opt-in path 1: Website checkout (thesweettooth.com)
During checkout, in the "Where should we deliver your order?" section, the customer enters a mobile number in a field labeled "Phone". The field's help tooltip states the number is used to contact the customer about their order and delivery. Entering a phone number is how the customer requests delivery notifications for that order.
Directly below the Phone field is a separate marketing checkbox labeled "Text me with news and offers", which is unchecked by default and is NOT used by this program. Delivery-confirmation texts are sent based on the order itself (transactional), not on that marketing checkbox. Consent is not a condition of purchase beyond receiving order-related notifications.
Opt-in path 2: Phone orders
Customers who order by phone at (305) 682-1400 provide their mobile number verbally to staff for delivery coordination and are told it will be used for delivery updates about their order.
Disclosures
The SMS program is disclosed in our Terms of Service (SMS/Text Message Terms section: program description, frequency, rates, STOP/HELP, support contact) and our Privacy Policy, which states that no mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and that text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
