We offer hand-delivery throughout Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. We will usually deliver/ship within 24 hours of receipt of your order (excluding Saturdays and holidays). If you need more rapid delivery or delivery on a specific day, please call us. We do not deliver on Saturdays. We will leave the package with any person who will accept delivery at the specified delivery location. If the intended recipient lives in a doorman building, we will likely be required to leave the package with the doorman. If the delivery location is an office, we will likely be required to leave the package with a receptionist or mailroom attendant. If the delivery location is a single family residence, we will leave the package with whoever answers the door. In any case, we will get a signature from the person accepting the package.
Once we have made the delivery and obtained a signature acknowledging delivery, we are no longer responsible for any damage to the merchandise, including melting. The individual signing for the merchandise is expected is note and record any damage on our copy of the delivery receipt or refuse delivery. By selecting hand-delivery as your delivery method, you acknowledge and consent to this policy and agree that The Sweet Tooth and its affiliates and independent contractors have no liability for the condition of merchandise once we obtain a delivery signature; furthermore, you agree that you will not make any claim whatsoever, including without limitation a credit card chargeback, based on an assertion of a damaged product if we are able to provide you with a signature acknowledging delivery of such merchandise without any notation of damage by the individual acknowledging delivery. If you do not accept these terms, please do not select hand-delivery; we offer several alternatives including delivery via a common carrier such as UPS or FedEx.
Safely shipping chocolate can be tricky, but we are experts. We will pack your chocolates carefully using ice packs and insulation. Shipping rates are calculated in your shopping cart. Packages cannot be in transit over the weekend during warm weather, so we will sometimes hold orders placed on Thursday or Fridays until Monday, depending on your UPS/FedEx selection. UPS/FedEx Ground/Home Delivery is only available to portions of the U.S. and during warm weather months, Ground Delivery is only available in Florida.
When UPS/FedEx says delivery is 2-3 days, this is the "typical" time frame, IT IS NOT A GUARANTEE. ONLY OVERNIGHT IS GUARANTEED. Delays happen for many reasons, including weather and holiday surges. WE DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS FOR UPS/FEDEX DELAYS. We cannot control UPS/FedEx delivery times any more than we can control when the sun rises or sets. So while we will be sad that your gift is delayed, we will not take responsibility nor issue any refund whatsoever.
By ordering shipping via a common carrier such as UPS or FedEx, you hereby agree that you will not make any claim whatsoever, including without limitation a credit card chargeback, based on when your order was delivered. If you are uncomfortable with such an agreement, do not order shipping via a common carrier.
If your product is damaged during shipping, you must notify us and provide photographs within 48 hours in order to be eligible for compensation. For orders above $100, you may also be required to permit FedEx, or an alternative shipper if used, to inspect the damaged packages. At our option, we will (a) issue you a merchandise credit or (b) ship you an identical replacement product. Any exceptions to this policy must be documented in an email from us. By placing an order through this website, you hereby agree that you will not make any claim whatsoever, including without limitation a credit card chargeback, based on an assertion of a damaged product if you fail to comply with the terms herein.
